anyone used mobile mechanic service?

I got one yesterday the guy was like I need XXX and XXX
Then im like oh ok.
I asked him do to it and he was like could you give an upfront payment.
So i gave him $300
now he hasnt showed up and not picking up my calls.
Rang the cops.... they said they cant do anything.
what you guys think i should do?

did you get a receipt with an ABN, address, date, signature and all the rest on it? Pretty easy to chase the guy up with all his details. Know his address then pop around and see him.

How long have you given it? 24 hours probably isn't long enough to start worrying... but it'd be shitting me off too.

Also have you tried to contact him from a different/blocked number to see if it's just you or everyone he's no taking calls form?

got my mate to book him in tmr arvo.
gonna ask him for the money back... without talking that is
