yeah they are useful, but i see his last cable sold for $137. theyre not worth that much. a few dollars worth of electrical components, and then a little more for the connector

get sensor readings from every sensor on the car, graph them out together to find what sensor is playing up, and how others are reacting to it. if the cable saves you from replacing one sensor that wasnt faulty, then it almost pays for itself.

I just got the last 1 he sold for $83, if it can save me from buying/ replacing 1 part, and not payn' to find out what DTC codes I have logged, etc I will be happy. Also clears DTC. Depends largely what software you run and the OBD systems that are accessible in that model's PCM.
The same guy sells a USB interface from Steering wheel stereo buttons to onboard PC. The same PC that will be giving you those sensor/ RPM and other displays.
Think of those possibilities... IT COST ME $20 Free delivery on both of them!
Tell me that's not good value.

Pretty sure there are a couple of guys on here that make and sell them.. michaelW springs to mind.

Have a search around on here, you should be able to find out how to make your own.

$20 was a *bit* below what I was hoping for but hey that is why it is an auction. I guess I'll have to find another way to retire early...

Do you mean the PC interface or the OBD scanner?

Hey Mike, sorry about trashing your early retirement plan, and of course I would have paid more if someone else had of bid...
Hopefully I can come back with some glowing reports for others on the forum and everyone will be happy.
Don't mind the "Guinnie Pig" title.
Thanks Mike, hope to see them soon...

true the cable can allow you to do all those things but only if you have the correct program and the one they supply is only a evaluation which i know from experience does sweet fark all it just shows you stuff it doesnt allow you to change things till you buy the full program
whats the difference between my missus and my blower??
well they both whine but the blower actually puts out

I don't think that efilive4 (even the full version) can do much to edit your ecu. I think you need a different cable and program.

Cant think of how you can get a better deal. The seller is just saying a demo exists.
He doesn't mention the use of unlicensed software, that would be up to you,
and completely out of his control...

I think if you were in business then paying for the full program would be a must.
I do admit that I have previously installed a program that was not legitimate...
( ahhh, windows, Photoshop, etc...) Others may have done similar.
Should I play with the full version of Digimoto at home, (of course found on the 'net),
I wont lose too much sleep.

:Statesmad prepares for a rain of abuse from the copyright nazi's.

    Should I find it acceptably priced and my use warrants the purchase, I would;
the same as other software I have "trialed" as full version.

if you do buy it and want a full working version of efilive4 which i'm pretty sure does allow you to change heaps of stuff on your ecu, you could ( I'm not suggesting this ) but you could go to pirate bay and find a full licensed copy of the program but i should warn you if you do there may be a prick of a virus included in the download ( not speaking from experience )
