getting rid of the BBQ fuel

Wondering if anycould tell me how to remove the gas from my 5ltr vp. I am wondering what you do with removing the mixer.
If its running on gas, It intially starts on petrol then kicks over to gas around 2000rpm.
Attached are photos of the mixer and the fuel line running to the mixer.
Another issue is the accalerator cable or what seems to be. It is very stretched and want to adgust it for better response. Any ideas how to would be very appreciated.

I can not believe how much the mixer is chocking the intake. It goes from a 65mm throttle down to 40mm.
