What is this on my window??

I have never bothered to check out what this is but its some sticker thing on the drivers side of my windscreen with a wire attached to it that ran down the through the dash and into where the fuse compartment is. trouble is it wasnt attached to anything, does anyone know what it is??

Definatly not a demister. If it was there would need to be a full circuit. By the looks of it it just ends on the bottom left side. Which suggests an antenna.

Wouldn't be a shock sensor either. Too thin to be that and still not a circuit.

Antenna could be anything, used for TV, added to the FM aerial to provide better reception or even an antenna for a paging alarm system.

As said, could be the antenna for tv/alarm or a shock sensor.

It could also be the antenna for a hands free setup.

ok.. have we thought of automatic wipers/lights like on the VW golf.. maybe the previous owner was putting it on but ran out of time..
