Wheel repairs

Just looking at a set of 18" VX gts wheels for $199 without tyres..
One wheel has damage and I was wondering if anyone knows if the damage could be repaired?
And if it can be, where is the best place to go in Melbourne?

They are cracked, I wouldnt trust them. Cracks will grow over time. You could have a look at getting them welded but not sure how that would go.

Yeah probably not a very safe option, you could consider using the three good ones and buying one brand new one. But, whether you want to do that is another question.

too dangerous. itll have to be re welded up. its like making rims wider. you might like it but vicroads wont. best to keep looking. i got good ones at a wrecker for 300$. look in my ride on page 2.

As far as I know its illegal to weld any cracked alloy wheel. It must be destroyed.

How hard are VX gts to come by?
