What sort of driving exactly? City or freeway?

Freeway i'm more inclined to say this is the order (better economy being first):
    Super 8, Super 6, V8, V6

    City:
    V6, Super 6, V8, Super 8

I had a Buick V6 with Pacemaker headers, 2.5" zorst, Foam tune, CAI and a few other bits, that thing used more fuel than my Senator, which has HSV headers, 3" exhaust, CAI and a Kalmaker ECU.

Bullshit you used to allways say your V6 was good on fuel and you allways complain about the 5 litre, I think you just forgot. 5 litres use heaps more fuel no matter what anyone says including Stealthy, who has a 6 speed in his and driving my a gret grandma so that hardly counts . Expect 1.5-2 litres more fuel to be used in a 5 litre. If you want to compare a manual 5L to a Auto V6 then they will be about the same, but a Manual V6 will use less than a manual 5L. But even the 5 litre will use tons less fuel than a VK with a 202

5litres are pretty economical, peak hour they would suck a bit. Still, Ecotec's are thirsty buggers.

Alien has hit the nail on the head in terms of fuel economy order.

a six will generaly use less fuel in most application.

that said, i believe my car will use less fuel than a four cylinder. (towing a loaded horse float up bulli pass)

a standard v6 uses jack all fuel. but once u start playing wth them they drink a lot, just like anything. my cammed v6 used shit loads, when i got the ss it was using less then that. had a play with the ss now it uses lots more then the v6. thats just the way it goes. if you want economy got a six, or a nice little four banger. thought of a camery?

My 5litre has 80 litre tank, around town i get 300km's plus from just half a tank, but that goes down quick with my foot lol, people always want to drag at the light's and i will give anyone ago lol. but on hwy my best was 802k'm with a full tank . But i don't really care about fuel economy if i did i be like most of my mates and by a small car grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. But i love my v8's
