    Default Vz alloytech oil filter

HI EVERYONE, HAS ANY ONE DONE AN OIL CHANGE ON A VZ COMMODORE ALLOYTECH ENGINE. IT HAS A SEPARATE ELEMENT AND A REUSABLE FILTER BOWL / HOUSING. DO I NEED A SEPARATE O RING OR A PACKING WHEN I DO THE OIL CHANGE, OR DOES IT EVEN HAS ONE IN THERE? OR CHANGING THE ELEMENT IS ALL THAT IT REQUIRES? THE ELEMENT COMES WITH ITS OWN ORINGS PRE INSTALLED.
ANY HELP IS MOST APPRICIATED BEFORE I UNDO THE FILTER BOWL AND ITS TOO LATE TO REALISE THAT A SEPARETE PACKING/ O RING IS NEEDED. THANKS

sorry mate i may have not been clear on this. the bowl has a hex so you can put a spanner on to it and remove the top half, then the paper filter is inside it. the bowl is part of the engine, its reusable and does not come with the new filter when you buy it from supa cheep.
so when i put the top half of the bowl back to gether after inserting the paper filter in to the lower half do i need a separate oring between the two parts of the filter bowl. i saw the paper filter has an oring inside but that want seal the two halfs of the bowl. hope i make sence this time, thanks once again.
