A lot of the boys on the ford forums have hurricanes in the ba/bf's and love 'em. Supposed to be pretty good gains for the price, but in the end you usually get what you pay for, so it's probably worthwhile to just lash out with the extra coin for your pride and joy.

Yeah I have only heard good things about them performance wise. Durabilty not sure, but if they give you couple years warranty then thats fine.

Send them an email and ask them. What price did the shop quote you ? I think Pacies are usually up around $700 fitted and Genie some fit for same price, but you can actually get them fitted for under $600 if you shop around.

I do Hurricanes for $330 so $300 is a very good price.

Not in my opinion. You will never get $250 worth of extra performance out of the Pacies....

Sounds like a good price to me, all i need to do now is find a place that stocks them.

From what I hear about hurricanes, the gains are mainly low in the rev range and less and less noticeable as the revs climb, but it also depends on ther type of extractors you pick. Honestly, in an n/a v6 commodore, no one thing is going to make a monstrous difference, but it's all the little things that add up.

Extractors will change the torque curve. You will get better bottom end acceleration and better top end speed. They also improve highway economy.

Saying that no one thing makes a difference, bang for buck, extractors probably give you the most noticeable gain without spending too much.
