Anyone used these as a cheap way to lower your vehicle?
Short term, cheap, unreliable, sure.
Invest in good springs instead.

Oh the wonderful things I could do to my car...
if I had more money, no kids, no wife, no second car, no job, no rent, nowhere to be, didnt need food, didnt need beer...damn.
My $0.02
definitely not safe.
that is pretty crazy. a set of king springs are only like 100ish dollars a set.
Im pretty sure you are only meant to use them to actually get the springs in/out and off the struts. I sure as hell wouldn't leave them in.
lol, on the ol' dodgyness scale of 1 to 10, I'd say they rate about a 8.5. 10 being the dodgyness value given to cut springs.
My opinion, just by some springs... lol
Yeah its dodgy as hey. I wasn't planning on doing this, just wondering if anyone else had used them. lol
theyve come down in price due to popularity
Does anyone cut their stock springs?
Where can i buy some king springs? Apart from ebay, because they are like $250 on there
Not on this forum they don't, and if they do, they won't admit to it.

vs cut spings-lowered
Just go out and buy some springs, you can get them on ebay, autobarn, repco, burons, most mechanics and most suspension places.

kings springs are cheap commodore fronts trade price $75 a set but they are not paired from factory like pedders springs are . spend the extra money on pedders springs guaranteed height and very little sag.. as for the spring clamps they are for show only not legal for road use as are cut springs not legal for road use .
