    Exclamation Car alarm

    Hey guys,

Im looking for a car alarm for my baby. I just want to know what everyone else has got in terms of brand, features, how much you paid and where you had it done.

I want one where i can use the factory Holden remote.
I dont want an alarm with a 5 tone siren. I much prefer a single tone siren and maybe coupled with the horn and flashing lights and what not.

    Thanks for your help

    cheers

best idea is to read reviews on the net then not tell anyone what you got. its pretty easy for someone to see what car you have, get your details, and if youve listed what alarm you have or are getting theres no point having one.

I've got a mongoose alarm in my commodore, piece of junk. It sometimes arms itself when i'm driving! Drains the battery. I've had nothing but grief, thinking of ripping it out. Maybe i got a dud. lol

I had a Cyclops, had no issues with it, it was about $400 installed and that was a few years ago so could be cheaper now, it protected all the doors/boot/bonnet and had a knock sensor and killswitch

JB hifi have a Python alarm that you can use with the holden remote.

It was $198 on the website. I think they charge about $150 to fit them though, unless you do it yourself.
