Colder Thermostat

G'day,

I've got a mate with a VR berlina (non ecotec), who is after a thermostat that opens earlier. When he bought the car it had no thermostat and ran cold, now he is running a stock thermostat but it runs a bit hot...he is after something that opens before 91deg as the current one is 91 deg but he can't find anywhere in Melbourne that sells non standard ones.

Anyone know where he can get a colder Thermostat?

don't buy one from them, total rip off. a 81 degree thermostat is a standard part you can get from any decent automotive outlet.

TT1-180 is the part number i think for both the buick 3800 and ecotec engines and shouldn't cost any more then a standard thermostat
