Hey guys, my rear exhaust hangers have just broken, which is no biggy until i just went to replace them. Normally you can just fit them easy enough, but my exhaust is twin, and at the back where the hangers are there is a rod welded from one pipe to the other.... which is where the hangers were, but its welded from one side to the other, so i cant slide the new hangers on?? They must have put the hangers on first then welded this rod on?? WHY?!
Ill post a pic so you know what i mean, but has anyone got any ideas for me?
Cheers

LOL what arseholes!
drive it back to them with the exhaust hangers broken - and give a BIG "WTF - how is this a proper job?"
ask them if they welded the exhaust system to the headers, too
p.s. - I worked out the other day that lots of exhaust hangers get broken because of axle tramp - how long has it been since you got your exhaust done?
mines welded onto the body with a pivot style bracket so it doesnt move, and can be adjusted to sit the way you want it (just a nut and bolt to adjust the arms, can be removed by undoing the nut etc).. an exhaust joint did it for me cos i wasnt happy with how the exhaust sat and looked.
its an option you could take if you wanted. otherwise chicken wire or a coat hanger will work for a few days.
Just use a carabiner![]()
