buying tint

This week im going to get 20% window tint on my vz commodore and yes i know it illgeal, do any of you have any photos and suggestions on window tint?

wait for some more responses on this thread, but try to avoid any of the "big" places (tint-a-car, tint professor). Have heard lots of bad things....
I use an independent guy, costs a little more but the work is amazing.

Ive had my last 3 cars (Red VR wagon, Silver WHII Statesman and Black VX) all done with 5%. Looks amazing, never had a single issue with cops (been through many booze buses etc, random license checks etc).

However all 3 cars were roadworthy (apart from the tint), so they weren't looking for reasons to book me. Im sure if the car is ultra low or stupid loud they might get you for it (or if your a prick/rude to them).

Should look sweet... post pics before/after, how much it cost and who did it.

midnight express at tint a car, always been good work imo

Formula one at Tint a car. 25 year warranty compared to Midnight express' 10 years. Had a VS, VY and the missus' Kia Rio done. All good, I would not hesitate to go back again. However this is one place, I suppose the quality of workmanship will vary from store to store.

I'm returning my car to Tint a Car tomorrow for an inspection as they did an awful job with midnight express. I'm mega pissed about it.

After a week there are still small bubbles on every window and small ripples, and the tint hasn't even been applied correctly to the small quarter windows in my rear passenger doors - the tint in the corners hasn't stuck to the glass and the trimming is all uneven.

I'm not buying any of their bullshit about its supposed to be like that because I have had a look at a lot of mates cars and the tint is flawless - if they refuse to fix it and try and brush me off I'm heading straight to the fair trading department. I have had enough of businesses that fark you around. The guy on the phone started off sounding cheerful until he realised I'm bringing the car in and then he sounded decidely unfriendly.

yea solar tint quoted me $350 cash with a lifetime warrenty where as tint a car said $340 but heard bad news about it plus the lebo guy on the phone sound like he didnt care cheers be getting it next week o do have photos of the car atm only 40% tint though looks alot darker than it is

I've have those of foreign descent play the race card before. They claim it's personal to get out of business problems.

I will not stand for anyone of any nationality doing that. That's not rascism per se, it's not racial intolerance, it's incompetence intolerance. That being said I probably wouldn't have singled out his race, just his idiocy.

What did he say about 'lebos' that make him racist. I personally wouldn't of bothered saying it, but he did and he did not criticise or make fun of lebanese people in anyway so he wasn't being racist.

Yea goOd man I got nothing against lebs plenty of mates that are so get over champ. Yea I have heard that tint-a-car, dosent do a good job so I have found a place out near blacktown, solartint, they are doing 20% so u guys think 20 dark enough.
