I bought a cruise control module, stalk and cable for a vs, changed cable as my vr hasn't got the ecotec motor, and installed it, went for a drive, push button on stalk, crs light comes on in cluster, sit on 60, press set but nothing happens. From a few posts I've read, it seems I need to change my bcm to a mid and the brake switch. But I also read a post somewhere that being a six seater and the window washer is in the dash, (where speed alert is on other models) that I can't change the bcm for some reason....how come ? or is there a simple way to "rewire" to trick my low bcm so that it accepts cruise....any help would be highly appeciated thanks
