Something Interesting happened to me the other day....

I was driving last Saturday, proceeded to enter a round-a-bout, mid way around, the car stalled. It was quite fun trying to control the car with no power assists (Brakes and Steering). Anyways pulled it over, had a look under the bonnet, couldn't see anything out of the ordinary, pulled a lead checked the spark... Nothing. Knowing that I wasn't going anywhere to fast, got a mate to tow me up the road the the missus house.

Monday morning came, had the car towed to my work where we put the snap-on analyzier on, still found nothing.
We stoped looking for maybe 5 mins and started to chat, when we hear this relatively large crack sound, everyones eyes spun around to the car.... What we saw was the weird thing.

The Middle coil of the 3 on the coil pack had split along the top and a white-blackish molten plastic oozed out the crack, felt the coil pack, you could have sizzled an egg on it, it was that hot. 10 mins later the oozed plastic was hard as a rock..

I guess we found the problem... None have us have ever seen anything like it, one of which has been a mechanic for 20 years....

Has anybody ever seen this.. Thought it was quite a sight...

Yup seen it before.
