Default tyre pricing... what should i be paying? 235/45/R17

so being the nob i am went out doing burn outs last night and blew both rear tyres out fully. the rubber smashed my freshly painted bumper and freshly 'unpainted' it. (serves me right...)

anyways as far as moving on goes i would like to take these stocko 15's off and get my wheels back on.. just wondering what everyone thinks is the right price to pay to slap some new rubber on this badboy!

also refilled thismorning and have driven probably 20klms since.... my computer tells me 250km to empty and 20.9L/100klm
have i maybe broken something? normally it has adapted by 20kms of driving - cheers guys

Depends... Are you going to do burnouts again? Then get a really cheap set for like $80 each. Personally i only put good rubber on my car ($500-550 PER tire)... So somewhere inbetween that?

Probably about $140-180 for a reasonable rubber.

Ahh for two you are looking at, at least 300 bucks. I got the same size. Set of Maxxis cost me 700 with trade discount.

Obviously the smaller the wheel the cheaper the rubber. You can get tires for $40 for a 13" wheel...

    ^^ spot on.
prices each- fitted balanced and old ones disposed of.
$230+ for better brands, but if all you're going to do is burn them up in clouds of smoke, go cheap and nasty.

We used to go around to the tyre places and ask them for any tyres with tread left and take them home and fit them for burnouts

I paid 265 a corner for Falken FK 452 - came second in the wheels tyre test 2 years ago at that size - 235/45/R17 to some seriously high dollar goodyear eagle f1's.

Found the falknes to be very very good.
