Last night checked my Vt berlina v6, oil and radiator found oil in the radiator no water in sump all clean oil. Car isnt using oil if so is unnoticable. Did a compression on check on all cylinder got about 200 psi give or take 5 psi over the 6 cylinders. I put a jug over the exhaust pipe and there was condensation in the jug so suspect water in cylinders. Not sure what to check now to confirm its either a head gasket if so which side. Its not using and transmission fluid so radiator seems fine any help would be appreciated.
Have a look at your inlet manifold gaskets. cheap and easy. Mechanic can do a quick test of your radiator to check for suspect head gasket
what colour is the fluid in the rad now pink or brown ??? does it look like a macdonalds choclate thickshake
is it auto or manual
The colour is chocolate brown with a slight milky bits doesnt look like transmission fluid. Its an automatic transmission. Im gonna take it to the mechanic in the morning and let him test the radiator and see what he thinks. Ill let you know the outcome of what he thinks.
Intake manifold gasket-its a common problem. Get yourself some metal ones to replace them they will last for ever
It was the intake manifold gaskets took it apart today and it was buggered cheers everyone.![]()
