Default How many km is too many?

    Hi
I am looking at a commodore with 330,000 km on the clock. The price is about right considering the features. It is a v6 on gas and is a country car. Would I be asking for trouble with this many km? The seller says it runs fine, what do you rekon, is it a time bomb or maybe ok?
    Thanks

My parents had a VR acclaim and the motor in that threw in the towel at exactly 330,000km.

I sold my VR Berlina with 335k on the clock in 2005 for 3k. This one is a ute, has the same mileage and is 4 years older now. Forget it.

Really depends on your budget and what model is your preference. A Manual's gonna be much cheaper, but if it was a Work ute it would have been treated to a harder life.
I, as a rule, would steer clear of anything over 250-280km, unless its for a project or what not, but you're asking for trouble buying cars at that km

these engines last and last but expect to do the usuals on a high km commodore for example, belt tensioner might be through,, water pump,, uni's ,, trany might play up when warm,, timing chain,, if u drove it u'll know, just expect it to get worse with out some loving care
