Hey,
my brother has just bought a campervan and is going on a month long trip in the morning, so we have one day to get it ready. He wants some extra driving lights, but like i said we dont have much time.
Would it be okay to run a positive power cable from the battery to the lights? And just earth them to the closest bit of chassis? And run a switch through the positive as it runs through the cabin to the lights?
I have included a crappy diagram.
Any help would be great, thankyou.
You can but you risk burning it out. Better to put in a relay and a fuse on the + side, Most relays come with a wiring diagram and arent to hard to follow.

You need a relay otherwise that switch won't work for very long.
Couldnt i get a switch with the correct voltage for it?
use a relay and fuse, and plumb it off the high-beams (for driving lights), otherwise it's illegal, and unsafe....
100+ watts @ 12v through a switch is never good...
no worries guys,
thanks for clearing that up for me.
