    Default Wheel Balance

    Hey Everyone.

I was talking to one of my mates the other day, and on the subject of a wheel balance, He said he gets it done while the wheels are on the car. Is that possible? thought they could only be done while off the car. on the balance machine. I think he is full of it lol

    Cheers

It is possible to get it done on the car. There is an on-car balancing machine.

how would that work? I've only ever seen the 'off car' machine, where the computer controls the spinning wheel and tells you where to mount the weight exactly. how would a machine work balancing the wheel whilst still on the car? curious as it whether it would be as accurate. anyone know?

Actually this is apparently the best way to do it. That way they can do it correctly and balance the wheels more acuratley becuase they can rotate them and make it as a real life situation or some shit. But im not 100% sure how they work

Yeah thats where he gets it done, still sceptical of it as the wheel still may not be balanced with the rim. and anyways if the wheel is balanced and you still get shudder, you may have something else wrong with your car.
