KYB or Boge. In KYB they're about $59-$65 per shock as a standard, or about $70 from memory if you want the 50mm lowered ones.

KYB's are undoubtedly the best performance/quality for your buck. The equivalent in the Monroe range is the GT Sport, with the GT Gas just being their cheap (in both sense of the word) shock.

    Default let's get technical

righto ,, what we have is a 2000 wh with self leveling,[completely differing shocks] which by the way auto stores talk takes a whole heap of choices away as far as replacement go, apart from genuine.

has any one had success with finding non genuine?

as a bundy boy, Silverfox our local holden dealer has a bit to be desired

kinda picked the wrong time of year to start losing air

You can still replace them with standard shocks, you just lose the auto-leveller, If you dont do towing or heavy loading in the rear you wont even notice.

I ordered one today for my wh statesman. $140 each. from Kempsey Holden. Repco rang Monroe and they said genuine only. But if you're paying $190 I'm happy, perhaps you need to question your dealer about the price.

How about NZ$550 EACH for air shocks for my Addy. Thats what 3 dealers have quoted me. I know the NZ peso is not doing that great but it hasn't got that low. Monroe Gas Risers maybe a cheaper option at NZ$406 for a pair ex Repco but Monroes can't tell me which one would suit and I have gut feeling they don't do it for the Addy aftermarket even though they are the OEM. The number stamped on my stuffed shocks is 92112618 but suspect that doesn't mean a lot.
