I'm confused... "RTA in Burwood which is in Vic?"

So are you talking about the Burwood in Victoria, in which case VicRoads?

Or are you talking about the Burwood in NSW, in which case RTA?

Putting your location in your profile would help too .

You sound really confused between Vic and NSW. Green slip, RTA?

    This is the process.

You walk into Vicroads, say you just purchased a car, show them the RWC and the transfer papers. They will look at them and stamp them and do whatever they do on the computer, charge you the stamp duty based on the amount you paid for the car and away you go. They generally only ask to see the car if its been out of rego for a while.

You pay a mechanic for the RWC.

You pay VicRoads the transfer fee and stamp duty on the car.

Yeah sorry i was confused myself as i had my Dad do some of it,
i called them up, the car is now in my name i just have to go in and pay for the stamp duty/transfer fees and show them the RWC that is already done from the mechanic and that's it .
