Well i bought a VT Holden Berlina last week and it hasn't been changed into my name yet,
and i need to ring the RTA in burwood which is in Vic to get it done but i can't find the number for it,
does anyone know or have it?
Yeah Burwood in Vic, which i think is Vic Roads :P,
but i got the number now but thanks anyway.
And when i go to change it into my name im meant to show them my road worthy page i have, will that cost anything?
It costs money to change it over...
Yeah i know it does for the name but i have the sheet for the road worthy, im saying am i meant to show them that it's road worthy or something.
rwc or blue slip will cost money you'll need to find a mechanic who dose them
I got the green slip, i think it is showing them that i have had it done.
You sound really confused between Vic and NSW. Green slip, RTA?
This is the process.
You walk into Vicroads, say you just purchased a car, show them the RWC and the transfer papers. They will look at them and stamp them and do whatever they do on the computer, charge you the stamp duty based on the amount you paid for the car and away you go. They generally only ask to see the car if its been out of rego for a while.
You pay a mechanic for the RWC.
You pay VicRoads the transfer fee and stamp duty on the car.
