Yeah well i got a Holden VT Berlina, i was wondering how do i find out what series it is?
Cause on the paperwork and shit it doesn't say series one or anything.
Simplest way is to go and look under the bonet, on the firewall, right hand side of the engine bay there will be a compliance plate. It will list if its a series 2 there.
Otherwise with VT's, the Series 1 had orange indicators whereas the Series 2 had clear indicators. Not always a comprehensive test as people change them.
Most series two's will have a "SERIES II" badge somewhere, probably on the boot.
dude pop the bonnet an check the compliance plates should give you the info needed
I think the series 2 had side airbags standard.. Someone correct me if I'm wrong
Oh really :0 I never knew they were different looking, in this case Series 1's look heaps better!Orange lights are winnnnnnn
thanks for pics reaper, very interesting. I've never picked it, but there you go... learn something new every day!

compliance plate is the best way, in 10 odd years its possible for lights to be changed (for instance change the side indicators and rears to clear so they look better, or because theyve cracked or faded or been broken) and badges to be removed, especially with the latest fad of debadging cars![]()
Well my taillights are altezza lights but the side ones are white, so it's series II unless someone changed them?
yeah could be..
THIS site says a few of the differences. The PRND123 would be a good one to check since changing the instrument panel is a bit of a bitch so its probably standard
Series 1 calais had clear indicators on the back but the indicators on the gaurd were orange
