hey guys.. i have bought myself a vp 93 spak and it has IRS. is this normal for the spak??
No it's not normal but allways possible. I don't know what the percentage of S packs came with IRS but it wouldn't have been more than one in .... 50 maybe, put it this way I've never seen one. I've seen ONE IRS VP V6 that wasn't a Calais in my life. There's a few IRS 5 litre BT1's around, they maybe one in 5
I bet there's millions more cars where you live tho, there's only one non calais IRS V6 around here, pretty rare either way
I spotted one a few years ago he was bouncing its rear at the lights which caught my attention, the lack of a camber kit was the other.

they would have to be quite rare. i didnt think any execs got irs until vs series 2.
It was still only an option in the vt, though holden never made one without it.

Stealthy, if you count alllll the non Calais VP's with IRS I've seen on the interweb, then I've probably seen 30 but I take notice of them more than most people would since I have one. That's 5 litres and everything but in actual life, I've seen 3? 5 litres including mine and 1 V6. Both the other 5 litres were BT1's I have seen another non BT1 exec like mine in person but have seen about 10 on the net, inlcuding one manual. Thet aren't so rare that you CANT buy onebut you might have to wait a little while to find one to buy that's all, Both the local wreaking yards here were confused about my car as they had never seen a IRS exec and those guys see alot of VP's. That give you an idea that there isn't many around

Are we there yet?
i need a professional answer. is she rare at all. abs and irs??? also it has the seriesII vr engine? its also an spak 1993 the very last. anyone got anymore answers for me?
cheers guys.
Pretty sure you have all the answers you are going to get. A VP with IRS is not rare since all the Calais have it but it can be desirable to have a Commodore with IRS and a VP is the lightest body with IRS so it can be a good thing. It's just that there wouldn't have been many like yours but then again almost no two Commodores are exactttttly the same so they can all be rare depending on how you think about it
. Levymetals VP calais for example it's just a VP calais but in the combo it's in, it's impossibly rare, probably the only one like it that was ever built
