Ants and polish?!

Hi Guys and Gals,
This is my first post here so be kind

I recently bought a VX Calais in really good nick, I parked it in my lock up under the house garage, and next day I see little black ants all over it. They seem to form little groups all over the paintwork! I have brushed them off, hosed them off, and they return again and again. WTF? I think they are eating the polish on the car! Anyone else have this problem? I am in QLD on the Gold Coast in case that helps.

Seriously though, it could be a polish/wax with some sort of sugar in it? Never heard of that before... Perhaps lick the paint and see what it tastes like?

That actually sounds like sane advice, unless the wax is caranuba and you've laid it on thick, I think that shit is actually not that far removed from a poison.

Somehow after reading about the wax being poison, I think I wont try and lick it! But the ants sure seem to like it, and it doesnt seem to kill them either, pity. LOL
