Interested to know if theres any time limit to how long you can leave a vehicle (Car/Bike etc) unregistered before it needs/has too go through regency for a roadworthy?
If that rule even applies to S.A?
Thanks

"If you're going through hell, keep going"
well ive left my ute for 14 months. walked into motor rego and registered it on the spot with no inspection. everyone you gotta remember we live in SA... nuff said :P
well when i bought my car (in june last year) the owner didnt register it when it ran out in February the year before and i had no problems
Mother had a car 1 and a half years out of rego, went through just fine.
Aslong as you want bro, after 3 months they ask for your plates back (you dont have to hand them in) and when your ready to put rego back on it just take your papers to motor reg (services SA) and pay up. If your unlucky some may have taken your plate and you'll be made to pay for a new 1. I've only heard 1 story of that happering
