hey just wondering if anyone has had any experience with these motors...
its a 6.5lt 402 BB imported from america... havnt had a look inside the block yet
is it 4 bolt mains?
strength wise? out of 10 , 10 being the best
to get 550rwhp.. any suggestions? (no boost!)
and dose anything go wrong with these motors? if so PLEASE TELL ME
550rwhp N/A...that works out to about 740HP at the engine. Gonna need more cubes than that mate. My suggestion would be 540 cubes, good set of Dart or Merlin rectangle port heads, about 11-12:1 compression, big solid roller cam, Dart or Merlin single plain manifold, 1050 Dominator. That would probably get you somewhere near that sort of power...
402 is plenty enough cubes.. and i want info on 402 motors not mopar
Who said anything about Mopar? 540 Chev dude....If you can make 740 HP N/A out of a 402, good luck to you. That's nearly 2 HP per cube, thats a very tall order for a Naturally Aspirated engine. Most semi streetable well sorted N/A engines make about 1.5 HP per cube (hence why i suggested 540 cubes). 2 HP per cube is getting into boosted territory.
Sounds like you know best though....
maybe ill stroke it then... perhaps still not enough? .. a met a guy with a 454 N/A with 725rwhp ..
holy crap! another thread? this makes three. why didnt you just ask all the questions in the one thread?
lol i dont know... i just signed up to this one and i dont get on sites like this much.. all i want is info and i inted on getting it
lol, well blown has given you some good advice, so its up to you to listen to it.
i forgot chev made a 540... i was thinking the 540 hemi lol sorry , but yea its probly gunna be tough getting 550 rwhp but i rekon ill get it..and 540's are rather expencive so ill stick with my 402.
if i cant get 550 ill just buy an 871 blower
