Red face just a quick question..

hey guys dunno if there is already a thred for this but i was just wondering..

why do people debadge their cars??
personaly i like them. but it seems every car i look at in the show off ur ride section has either debaged it or has plans to. just curious.

Because they're a good target for thieves and vandals, and they eventually ware down and start peeling and loosing colour. Some people just prefer a cleaner smoother look to the back of their car. I've known people to do it on older(ish) cars because it is a good place for water to get in and start causing rust.

It's personal opinion. Some like them some don't.. that's why some people debage their cars and others keep them on.

I took them off my VX, Just makes the car have a cleaner line, and makes people wonder a bit more what it is. I just randomly took them off as i was board and i like it much better. Left the Lion badges on though of course :-)

I reckon the design and the condition of the badges might influence the owner's decision to keep or remove them. I've kept mine because they are in mint condition and I like the design, but if I had a VN, for example, they would all come off because they were ugly when new and usually faded and even uglier now.
