CAI... VS... K&N Filter

I know that both these things offer minimal gains in performance, but which one would you choose if you could only have one? I have a bit of spare cash and i will get one of these things, even though it won't do much, every bit counts. Which one will increase the horsepower that little bit?

I did C.A.I 1st, but tbh i didnt notice a difference with either

CAI = better power in hot weather
K&N = expensive red filter

get the K&N filter, you can always make a CAI yourself to save some money
