Default Is it worth getting air suspension?

Yeah well I'm going to get a VY ute soon, and in my opinion they look better lowered, but the problem is I'll be putting motorbikes in the back almost every weekend, which is why i can't have a hard lid on the back unless I want to spend ages taking it off and on.

How much do you believe air suspension would cost, and is it really worth getting it? Or should i wait til i'm 19, on my Green P's and i can tow a trailer, then just put Lower springs in and stuff then?

    Thanks

Air bags can be great for staying low and being able to put the car up and down, but i'm not sure of how they effect the pay load of the car? Maybe you'd have to get some more heavy duty bags if your wanting to throw bikes/gear in the back.
Someone on here will know more than me, but its also a good idea to call your local suspension shop and see what they say/get a quote - the price might throw you off the idea!
    Cheers.

I wasn't desperate to know, hence why I didn't check the suspension shop itself .

I was just hoping somebody on here would be able to comment on a price, different type of bags and stuff. Thanks though

There are some shocks that have a small bag added to them and all you do is add air/decrease air pressure when needed.
Mate put them in his rear end, makes it look lower.
When he has a load in the rear end he can put it to like 100PSI or something. He has it at 30Psi at the moment which is minimal.
Spent around $400, give or take.

I'd just wait. I take it your either just 18 or a month or so past. A year will go quite quick, just buy a decent trailer and then do it all at once after your on your green p's.

The car will drop with 400kg on the back.. my dads ute drops when you sit on it, and i don't want it scraping on the group.

I should be alright with L's though right?

What brand was that with, and do you reckon there would be alot of difference between the VL and the VY price? (Ute)
