I have found some cheap new tyres, but they were produced in 2005.
They are still new but i know that tyres have an expiry date so what is the go? How do i know if they will be any good or not?
Thanks.

I think the expiry code is not set out like a normal date, pretty sure it a letter and number. The letter with represent the month in order af alphabet (not by first letter of month) and the number is the yr.
For eg.. C8 or C08 will equal March 2008. C is third letter and march is third month.
just ring another tyre shop to be sure.
I bought second hand new 'Bathurst 1000's' that were 5 or 6 years old. they were fine. I found out later that tyres have an expiry date. If it was me I'd contact a tyre shop to find out what the codes printed on the tyres mean, so that you know for sure. After all, the tyres are all that is between you and the road.
'Ah well, I suppose it had to come to this.'
I've heard that the rubber is only good for 6 years before it is not worth using
