Hey all,
I am new to this forum and will hopefully have my first car soon!
I'm looking at a Holden Commodore VS. I have been lucky enough to find a dark green, very neat and only 97,000kn Commodore VS '97 for $4800 with 6months free rego (from a dealer).
Bad news is that we have had the car inspected by RACQ and they have given us a few problems with the car. Dealer has said that he will fix muffler and oil leaks ('fix' or whip the oil off was my thought -_- )
Below is the problems that the vehicle has and I was hoping some of you with your car knowledge would be able to let me know how much it would cost to fix the problems if it isn't too much trouble?

Thank you in advance! And I look forward to becoming part of the forums =D
seems to me that from the k's it has that either...not looked after, or not the factory cluster aye
Not true... Stuff gets passed through Safety Checks with no problems... I found out the hard way... All you need is a dodgy Safety Inspector (or a lazy one) to do the check and give you the certificate!
Anyways... Just tell the dealer to fix all that crap and you will re-imburse him IF and ONLY IF the second inspection gets a A-OK from a inspector of your choice! Never give them the chance to choose which inspector they want... Because if you do... END RESULT (for me): COOKED ENGINE... Rebuilt for $5,000![]()
wow! didn't realise i had people posting on this, i need a notifier for this site or something.
Yes they fixed most of it but the engine mount and it was sold with RWC. Today it is off being serviced and if all goes well and i hopefully don't have to spend too much on it, then I can have a look at the exhaust system I found haha
