painting rubber? or white walling

Okay, what is the deal with painting the tyres? like this

Okay so how is this done? can it be done after buying the rubber or do you buy tyres like this?
is this a costly thing?
And finally is there anyone in WA who does it?

antique tyres in welshpool mate (pretty sure there like the only place in WA that does it), i believe its like ~$40 a tyre, and yeah they have a machine that does it to the tyres on your car

the red and blue bands pictured come like that. to install white walls on a tyre they cut a chunk out of your sidewall and melt a new sidewall in.

dont do it. buy red bands or deal with your tyres rolling off the rim around hard corners.

yeah i only plan to go a purple band like the ones above, actually getting those rims haha thanks but

Some places just use a scourer to roughen up your side wall and then paint on them.

its not an expensive thing, as parkway sai around $40-$55 a tire
