Cost Of Fuel Pump And Installation?

Need a new fuel pump for my VS and i went down to the holden dealer and they said it would cost $350 for the new pump and installation. I felt like saying get fu#ked, am i getting ripped or does that sound like the right price?

The genuine pump is no longer available for a VS. After market is the only option now. You can pick up a pump for about $120.00 non genuine. It comes with a new gasket and filter sock as well. Time to change it is under an hour. I suggest you go buy one and get your garage to quote on the labour.

Well i bought a DELPHI pump for it, i thought that was what Holden's used? It was $75, so i think thats a pretty good price. A mate of mine is a mechanic, so he will fit it free of charge for me.

Yes mate that is right.
I work for a dealer and I looked at holden and ACDelco pumps and they are the same.
The Delco was cheaper and had more parts in it.
That is a good price mate.
