Fuel/Oil additives

I went to Supercheap today to burn up some gift vouchers and I noticed the fuel and oil additives. Do these do anything like boost performance and reduce engine wear? Or do suckers only buy them?

If they are good for anything, what's the best brand?

I was reccomended Maurees as an oil additive once, but I never put it in.

only additive i've ever used is the nulon pro-strength octane booster for my supermoto bike, as some spots i need to get fuel from places that don't have 98 octane juice. we have never used any sort of oil or fuel additives in our fleet of trucks, but thats totally different to a car.

i was also wondering this, i saw one that is supposed to loosen stiff rockers to release stolen horspower?

ive found the injecter cleaners did wonders for injectors. but only cos they were very dirty.
ive also used the noisy lifter oil additive. cant really comment on it didnt notice much difference
