    Default conflicting advice,,, confused

hi , my vn keeps blowing the fuel pump fuse. its says it should be a 15a but there has been a 20a in it since ive had it. question is. would it be my pump it sounds as if its working and the relay seems fine. anything else i should check? or should i just replace , relay and pump. cheers.

The power wire might be shorting out and blowing the fuse.

most likely there would be a cut between the pump and the relay/fuse and its touching metal and shorting out. A bad relay would just make the pump not work at all wont cause the fuse to blow. does it blow as soon as u turn ign on or is it after a while?

there might be other things wired to the same circuit that could be blowing the fuse

Check the wiring at the oil pressure switch plug and switch itself at the front of the motor, it can short out and cause problems, like oil fires or blown fuses.
