Fuel choice?

Shell sells V-power which is 98 octane
Caltex sells Vortex 98 octane
Caltex also sells Vortex 95 octane

I run Vortex 95 in my stock VZ exec, I tried it with normal 91 for two weeks and noticed the fuel consumption was about .5 - 1 ltr per 100km more and I feel like my car has more "go" with 95. I have always purchased fuel from Caltex servos cos I have been told that Caltex has the main refinery in Australia therefore I figure the best fuel would be the stuff they send to their own servos.
I have used 98 Octane but didnt really see much of an improvement.

What do you use and are you loyal to one brand/type of fuel?
