is it worth getting a cam in my ve sv6,
and roughly how much is it?
if i can get a good stainless steel exhaust system i will get that but do cams in v6's make much diference?
any info at all will help me cheers.
maybe extractors is cheaper and just as good? anyway im relying on you experts out there to help me guys. cheers
If it's the alloytec engine (not SIDI), the cams are constantly variable on both the intake and exhaust sides, and have 60 degs of movement anyways, so putting in a bigger cam is pointless really...
I just love the way other motorists on the highway think it's an unmarked cop car.........
And Yes, it is a manual
and you'll have to buy 4 cams as they are a quad cam engine.
Big $$. And add to that a tune.
The Blue One
yeh, i wish i could have bought a ****ing v8
im on my greens so trying to get my car sounding like one any way i can.
what u guys rekon is the best way to get the growl of a v8 in an sv6?
extractors with a xforce stainless steel system maybe?
You won't. If you're that desperate for an 8 just wait. I'm doing up my ecotec but im not trying to make it sound like an 8.
its not possible v6's have different timing to a V8 and getting a V6 to sound like an 8 meh why waste the time. if u want an exhaust just to hear some noise when u put your foot down do it i did it to my old car was my fav mod about the car i havent done it to this one yet because i have heard it causes vibrations etc and the car doesnt run as smooth as it should so yeah
o well i want sound, how boring just driving in silence, ill just get some extractors and a stainless system.
that will be good
any sugestions for the extractors and systems brands? xforce i hear is great?
