Prep required to respray front/rear bars?

Hey,
my front and rear bumper bars have a few scratches that really get to me. What sort of prep would i need to do to re spray them the exact some colour? How much paint would i need? .. Would i just need to spray primer, colour, clear?

i just got sum plastic primer, sprayed a couple layers of that, then got 500ml of grey 200ml of white to do my front bumper.

Just sand it back bare, clean with tar/grime remover, spray layers of primer sand inbeteen ea layer, then repeat but with the paint

Cheers for thate mate. So you only needed 200ml of cover for the front bar?
Did you finish with a clear?
