Glue/Adhesive/Silicone for Door mouldings

I'm in the middle of putting on my new SS Mouldings/trolly strips. And I was just wondering what the best sort of adhesive to use was, I used a type of Sikaflex, but I left it on all night and it hasn't really 'stuck' or really gone rock hard...

Any suggestions?

hate to dig up dead thread, but no one replied...

use a quality contact cement. clean the area (prep-wash.. ect) apply cement to both surfaces, allow to cure slightly (tacky), stick and clamp till it cures.
