nissan patrols too heavy and way under powered mates patrol would average 370 on a tank of gas 80 lts mind you he had roof racks and twin spare wheels side steps 3inch suspension lift and 3 inch body lift and the aerodynamics of a brick chuck in the winch and recovery gear fridge two kids and the missus LRA fuel tank etc etc etc

on trips where i sit on 100, i can get just under 10 litres per 100 km...which really surprised me. ive got the spark timing set forward about 8 degrees i think and run premium petrol... around town i can make the fuel needle visibly drop with the right amount of right foot haha.
Need some parts for my VH 253:
Green standard steering wheel...Green lower B-pillar covers.
Green sunglasses holder/lower dash bits...Air-con and assorted engine bay parts.
    PM with any info.

Ive had around 4 vl's (3 turbos and 1 non turbo) in my 15+ years of driving and all have got over 500kms easy to a tank cruising on open road. Admittedly around town its so hard to compare. What some people call city driving is different to others perceptions of city driving. Anywhere from 350-450kms with really short trips and heaps cold starts could be considered normal.

Check this link to my highly modified vlt for sale. I get 600kms to a tank cruising on highway trips.............. http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/...ina-turbo.html

Wow you guys are getting really varied results.. I was just thinking about this for my vl. My old vl on gas used to get **** all. extractors exauast auto on gas, i used to have about a 50 litre tank and it would get maybe 300 on a good week, my current vl is 5 speed, extractors exhuast CAI and it gets maybe 350 to 400. Maybe, depends on how i drive if i flog the shit out of it, i cant get down to about 200 in the right conditiions.. I mean i've gone on cruised done arount 120 k in a night ansed over half a tank..

i'd love to know how to get mine up to 500 around town :S
