I'm close to starting a build of an model a styled hotrod with commodore running gear.

I'd prefer to use a v6 and not a v8 and I'd like some info please.

Is a vn auto box more reliable than later models due to not having internal solenoids?

What are the weaknesses of v6 auto transmissions and are there solutions?

I'm undecided whether to buy a good running engine/trans or or go for a total rebuild.
