Hi guys,
Firstly, Hi guys. I'm new here. It's good to be a part of the forum. Hope you're all having a good weekend.
I have a question about seats...
Do the base models from the 3rd gen (VT-VZ) have the same front and rear seats?
Hi Winters and welcome to the forum.
The basic seats are the same from VT to VZ and you can swap over complete interiors without any problems.
There were substantial changes to the base on the front seats between VX and VY. The complete seat assemblies will still interchange between the different models but the difference in the bases means for example, a VZ base will not fit straight under a VT seat without a fair bit of work adapting them.
The rear seats are straight swap-overs with no changes between the different models.
Thanks for getting back to me, Calaber.
So the seats are exactly the same from VT to VZ?
The reason i ask, is I'm running a business that makes custom fitted seat covers, and want a perfect fit on all models from VT onwards.
You will need to consider a few things before you start making the covers if you were hoping to settle on a standard design.
The shape of the cushions changes with different versions of each model. Some seats have larger side bolstering, Calais rear seats have separate, adjustable head restraints, Berlina and upwards have separate rear seat centre armrests and some models have side airbags in the front seats which will have to be allowed for when you make the covers.
Other members on the forum might think of somethings I have overlooked.
I'll definately take that on board Calibre. Once again, many thanks.
