how to install new headunit

hi i just bought a new vs ute 1999
it didnt come with a radio or anything so i bought a pioneer headunit.
i got a bracket for free from the wreckers.
all i did was connect the coloured wires together worked fine.
but all of sudden stopped working can someone please
write up a tutorial with pictures or something
would be great help
and im sure alot of people would appreciate it

yer i already looked at that mate it doesnt show you how to put one in just take it out and it doesnt actually show you how the mounting brackets work ha

I replaced my head unit just a couple of weeks ago using the instructions in the link posted by White Tiger.

Followed the wiring diagram from there and the one in the manual for the head unit and it all went toghether easy.

In terms of the mounting bracket, I used that one that was already there and screwed it to the new head unit in the same holes as the old one. Each of the holes on the side should have letters next to them. I can't remember exactly which one I used now (maybe T) but it was the same as the old one and everything lined up perfectly. The bracket screwed to the side of the head unit and to the front of the support frame inside the dash.

How did you connect your wires together ? Have they come loose ?
