    Default Power Steering Conversion

    Hi,

    I've recently brought a 1990 Toyota MR2 SW20 Rev 1 with a 3S-GE engine.

Unfortunately it doesn't have Power Steering, out of all the models/years, my particular one does not have power steering.

I was wondering if anyone could help me out? I don't know much about power steering so I was wondering if people could help me out with parts. I called up a place and they said I'll get to get the parts for them and they will install.

    My understanding I need:

PS Steering Rack & Pinion - $478.85 (Inc. Shipping from UK) (for a 91 model (not sure if same))
PS ECU - $44.82 (Inc. Shipping from UK)
PS Driver Relay - $58.10 (Inc. Shipping from UK)
PS Tank - $50 (Exc. Shipping from UK)
    PS Pump -
    PS Sensor -

Is that correct? what else is missing? Any help appreciated.

Edit: Prices off ebay, haven't checked local wreckers.

Little car like that, does it need powersteering. I always thought the steering feel from them unassisted was pretty good?
I just love the way other motorists on the highway think it's an unmarked cop car.........

And Yes, it is a manual

Have you looked around any MR2 forums? They would probably have better breakdown of parts. I am sure that I have heard about some model of MR2 that used an electric power steering pump too.

I did have a look at MR2 forums, but they dont seem to be active really lol. Only one is ToyotaNation.

I thought that PS components should be the same in most cars. The same concept.
