Has anyone else had problems with the Holden Certified Used Vehicles 3 Year/175,000km Warranty.
I've just found out this warranty is only honoured when you have the car regularly serviced at the dealer you bought the car from and only to the value of $1000
I bought a car in Melbourne and had it serviced in Geelong by local dealer (was told by he salesman that this was ok) to now find out theres no warranty. I should have read the fine print.
Maybe this needs to be a sticky
I've got the certified warranty, and my dealer made it very clear to me that servicing had to be done by them......
I just love the way other motorists on the highway think it's an unmarked cop car.........
And Yes, it is a manual
Same when my son bought his car from Booran Holden ,but he did manage to get 4 free services.
there are three types of people in the world , those who can count and those who can't
I bought my car 2nd hand from a dealership about 2 hrs from where I live. They ticked a box "long distance exemption" in the certified warranty booklet, meaning I could get my services done at any Holden dealerships closer to me without voiding the certified warranty....well I hope that is correct as I am still under the new car warraty and haven't tried to claim using the certified warranty!![]()
I brought a vt s pack that came with this type of warranty from Holden. First day i got the car the drivers door handle snaped off.Reported it .Sorry no warranty wear n tear.Went back a month later for free service(first one was for free) Mercanic advices me a couple of heater hoses need replacing (perish looking)you guest it know warranty wear n tear.Gave up ,just seen it for what it is a trap to make money for the dealer servicing cars.I had the car for 5 years i never replaced them hosses ever.Turned out the perish look was only the detailing blacking that was cracking from the heat.I will say that i saved a packet not taken my car back for services for a warranty that was next to useless.
