they will more than likely charge you a fair bit for them to remove it, it was like $200 cheaper for me to remove my old tint, than to get them to do it,
Its not hard, but kinda time consuming, u need soapy water and a razor blade

Heatgun or possibly a hairdryer (maybe) might do the trick.

you got a pretty sweet deal gettin the tint taken off for nothin mate!

jonno, you can tint overtop of what you already have. though, the tint should really be in good condition to do so. if its not in the best of condition, whoever is doing the job will most likely recommend that it gets stripped first as it will make their job look bad. personally, id take it off. as vaguely suggested above, soapy water and a razor blade will be your best friend. HOWEVER, make sure its a stainless steel blade, not a steel or carbon blade as it can/will scratch your glass. there is a little more too it than that, tho thats the basic scoop.
im not in the tinting trade anymore, but i did it for 7 years. if u need more info on gettin it off safely lemme know.. goin to bed now tho :P good luck mate

no correction needed, steamer can also be your best friend. sometimes. depends on how old the film is, and what quality film was used. sometimes the tint will come off with the glue, sometimes it will come off but leave the glue, sometimes just the scratch resistant coating will come off leaving the glue and a layer of film, and sometimes, sometimes its a real bitch and comes off in bite size pieces or just crystallizes when scrapped off. but definitely worth a shot.
