Just wondering how many people got epic damage from the hail yesterday, post pics or tell your story, I thought I'd gotten away with it myself, until my car dried and I discovered my boot, bonnet and roof were all covered with dents from the hail. Wondering whether it's even worth bothering with speaking to insurer because of the sheer volume of damage that will have occurred across Perth

I flew out of Perth just 1/2 hr before the storm hit had to ring up to find out if theres been any damage so far it looks like ive escaped any damage
If its got Wheels or Boobs its gonna cost ya money
Luckily I escaped any damage. Didn't get the hail at work in Kewdale, just bucket loads of rain...lucky to see past the end of the bonnet driving home.
My VP has hail damage over her bonnet, boot lid, roof, couple of the guards and doors![]()
There's a [once] schmick VX S-pack supercharged 6 that parks outside my work that was pretty hail damaged this morning, also a chrysler parked out the front of our work got belted. This morning on the drive into work I saw a bmw with L plates on, and the entire windscreen was cracked...I was wondering how the supervisor could allow the L-plater to drive with the windscreen that damaged...it looked dangerous

YES TALK TO YOUR INSURER
They will be covering a lot of people for this I would imagine.
Seriously, if you don't make use of insurance when you need it, what is the point in paying for it?? Ring them up, what's the worst that can happen? They say no. Big deal, you're no worse off than you are now

No damage or power out for me, had to drive home in the middle of it, but the hail missed me. Just flogged at work today (of which we got flooded). I work at the Quokka and Tuesday being deadline day of course SOOO many car yards pulling there ad's last minute due to massive damage and no phones or net access, argh long day!
My car was in Midland when it hit, so luckily no hail there so no damage thank god! No power outages at home in High Wycombe atleast. Pretty lucky compared to a few people I know.
My car just got a really good wash!
wow that sucks for a few of you, damn hail!! don't even think we got any hail down here in rocko

My mates 3 month old SV6 ute copped it on every panel aside from passenger door and rear qtr. Says it looks like a blue golf ball. Not a happy camper.
Def ring your insurance company and make your claim dude. That is what they are there for.
my Mums house in Bedfordale was hit by lightening. Scared the absolute crap out of her as Dad is up North quoting on a job. Luckily for her it didn't cause any damage to the actual house, all the cars were safe and sound in the garage, but it fried her house alarm and the smoke alarms.
Said she has to move into the spare room to be able to sleep as the alarm company couldnt' come out until today to fix it, and the noise she said is unbearable, but she is willing to put up with it as she has her house andd the cars are safe and she was definately lucky the house wasn't split in two!!!!!

There is going to be a mass assessment center set up on Grogan Road near the international airport THIS Saturday. Also, anyone with glass damage is being told to just fix it, most glass companies are aware of this and are billing the insurance company direct rather than going through the claim process. There have been a number of email addresses made for customers to contact the call centers to make claims or ask questions, so before calling them, have a look at the website.
still waiting for the hail sales to begin

I work for a Car Rental company, we have about 25 cars out of service that look like swiss cheese atm, cracked windshields, cracked tail lights, plastic fascias around the windsceen and wipers with holes right through them and panels which have had more hits than Elvis, and many more damaged cars still to return. Its certainly been a busy week.
I got a few dents but nothing to worry about. Can hardly see them. But given that the car is as close to as good as new as one can get, I will still get these fixed via insurance.
Mine was parked in the middle of the storm but under a big fat tree. Sorta wish it was parked in the open... wouldn't mind getting an insurance payout and buying an Audi or BMW earlier then the two years my lease is still active.
My parents were there in a hire car. The car got dented up a bit and the insurance company was asking for a $3,500 excess fee on the insurance. Dad cancelled the credit card the car was booked to and is now a fugitive on the run haha.
EDIT: Shit, I didn't see Davie05's post above until just now.![]()
