Default VL cat to VN question - Decat

Would a VL cat fit a VN?

The reason I ask is my cat is screwed, I can get a decat for a VL for $25

I cant afford $150 to replace the cat right now but it sounds horrible and short of welding it up I think this is my best short term solution until I can get another cat.

(pic isnt for VL/VN its just a example of a decat)

Yeah but dont have to cut and weld anything up and easy to change back later.

My car wakes up the whole apartment block with its shitty sound, I need a quick fix because I cant afford a cat now.

What's the point of replacing a dead cat with a $25 piece of straight through? Why can't you just drive around on the dead cat until you can afford a new one? You'd also save $25 in the process

If you can't afford $150 for a new cat then you will really struggle with the hefty fine for running no cat at all. Seriously ring around the wreckers you will find a secondhand cat on the cheap.

Yes, a vl cat will fit. I used to run dual vl turbo cats on the sv 5000. Worked a treat.
