    Question Broken ute hardtop

I was helping a friend of mine move house the other day because I'm the only one they know who has a ute. Being the good friend and all I took the hardtop off the back of my vz ss ute so that they could fit in their fridge, washing machine, furniture etc

when we finished up he helped me put the hardtop back on and as repayment for my good deed he lost grip and dropped the cover on the back right corner ( we were holding upright not flat) and some of the fiberglass on the corner has shattered and scratches up along the side of it

I was wondering if it's possible to fix this or do I have to buy a new hardtop cover?

Any help would be much appreciated

    Thanks!

you can fix anything made of fiberglass its very easy to work with (even bumpers split in half!), the "scratches" you see up the side will no doubt be hair line cracks in the gel-coat under the paint these will all need sanding out and filling or they will just show through the new paint.
Take it to any panel shop they will be able to fix it, and send the bill to your mate!

Or if your feeling handy, you can buy a fibre-glass repair kit and give a crack yourself? just keep building it up/add to layers to it, after each subsequent layer has dried then sand it back to shape and prep and paint
